1. Who we are
Don Digital is operated by Don Creative Limited, based in Auckland, New Zealand. We design, build and operate websites, business applications, reporting tools and connected digital systems.
The Don Business Platform is a secure internal dashboard operated by Don Digital at dashboard.don.digital. It helps approved Don staff organise client websites and view authorised marketing and website-performance reporting.
This policy applies to the Don Business Platform, don.digital, and other Don Digital services that link to this policy.
2. Information we collect
Depending on how you use our services, we may collect:
- your name, email address, organisation and information you submit through an enquiry or project form;
- account and authentication details needed to confirm your identity and control access;
- technical information such as IP address, browser type, device information, security logs and service activity;
- business information and records supplied by you or your organisation; and
- information received from third-party services when you expressly authorise a connection.
3. Google account data
When you connect a Google account to the Don Business Platform, Google tells you which permissions are being requested before you approve access. Depending on the features you connect, we may receive:
- your Google account name, email address and basic profile information;
- Google Analytics account and property details, traffic, acquisition, event and conversion reporting data; and
- Google Search Console property details, search queries, pages, clicks, impressions, click-through rates and position data; and
- Google Ads manager and client account details, campaign configuration, budget information and performance data.
We use this information only to authenticate authorised users, discover and connect the accounts they can access, display reporting, identify meaningful changes, and provide the dashboard functions they request. Approved staff may also use the platform to carry out explicitly confirmed Google Ads management actions on accounts they are authorised to manage. Assigned accounts begin in reporting-only mode. Approved staff can enable managed mode to change campaign daily budgets or pause and enable campaigns. Each attempt is audited, successful changes are read back from Google, and eligible changes can be reversed. The platform does not currently create or delete campaigns or advertisements.
We do not sell Google user data, use it for advertising, use it to train general-purpose artificial-intelligence or machine-learning models, or permit humans to read it except where necessary to provide support, maintain security, comply with law, or where you have given permission. Don Digital's use of Google user data complies with the Google API Services User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements.
4. How we use information
We use information to provide and improve our services, respond to enquiries, operate connected accounts, generate authorised reports and alerts, protect our systems, meet legal obligations, and communicate about an active project or service.
We do not sell or rent personal information.
5. When information is shared
We may share information with trusted service providers only where they need it to operate our services, such as secure hosting, infrastructure, email delivery and the third-party service you have chosen to connect. Those providers are required to handle information for the relevant service purpose.
We may also disclose information where required by New Zealand law, to protect a person or our systems from harm, or as part of a business transaction where lawful safeguards apply.
6. Storage and security
We use reasonable administrative, technical and physical safeguards appropriate to the information we hold. These include controlled access, encrypted connections, protected credentials, account authorisation and monitoring. No internet service can guarantee absolute security.
Information may be processed by service providers outside New Zealand. Where that occurs, we take reasonable steps to ensure it is protected consistently with this policy and applicable privacy law.
7. Retention, disconnection and deletion
We retain information only for as long as reasonably needed to provide the service, meet our legal obligations, resolve disputes and maintain security records.
You can stop future Google access by disconnecting the account within the Don Business Platform or revoking Don Digital's access from your Google Account permissions. To request deletion of stored account information or other personal information, email hello@don.digital. We will verify the request and delete or anonymise applicable information unless we are legally required to retain it.
8. Cookies
Our services may use essential cookies or similar technologies for authentication, security and basic functionality. We may also use measurement tools where appropriate. You can control non-essential cookies through your browser, although blocking essential cookies may prevent parts of a service from working.
9. Your privacy rights
Under the New Zealand Privacy Act 2020, you may ask to access or correct personal information we hold about you. You may also raise a concern about how your information has been handled. Contact us at hello@don.digital.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as our services or legal obligations change. The current version and its effective date will always be published on this page.
